Welcome to the Budding Spring Healing website. We hope that you find information that will be useful to you in your healing journey. It is the nature of information presented on the website that the intent of the writer may not always be clearly understood by the reader. So, we want you to be advised of and give careful consideration to the following information as you move through my website.

The information contained on this website and accompanying blog (collectively “website”), including ideas, suggestions, techniques, and other materials, is educational in nature and is provided only as general information and is not medical or psychological advice. Transmission of the information presented on this website is not intended to create and receipt does not constitute any professional relationship between Larry Stoler, PhD and the visitor and should not be relied upon as medical, psychological, coaching, or other professional advice of any kind or nature.

You understand by viewing this website you will be introduced to therapies based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, including medical qigong, qigong exercises, and Chinese herbs and foods for healing purposes (collectively “TCM”). In particular, Budding Spring Healing offers Life Force Tao of Medical Qigong which is described as a TCM energy healing method designed to connect the client to the infinite, loving, and creative source of the Universe and to activate the client’s innate capacity to heal. Developed over thousands of years, TCM rests on the principle that physical, emotional and psychological symptoms alert us to disharmony in our relationship to universal Qi (chi), or life force. TCM re-establishes our relationship to this universal life force by restoring balance and harmony in mind, body, and spirit.

You understand that there is a distinction between healing using TCM and the practice of medicine. While Dr. Stoler is a licensed clinical psychologist by the State of Illinois and is a Certified Life Force Tao of Medical Qigong Practitioner, he is not a physician and does not offer any medical services nor are his services a substitute for seeking medical treatment. Dr. Stoler advises you to seek competent professional advice before making any decisions regarding your healthcare.

Jenny Merdinger is a lay wellness counselor. She has received extensive training by Grand Master Nan Lu and his designated instructors and given permission to teach or demonstrate wellness practices such as The Dragon’s Way® Program, Qigong for Women’s Breast Health, Metabolism Function and The Four Energy Gates. She is currently a Qigong student of Grand Master Lu’s in his Tao of Healing Qigong school. Jenny Merdinger is not a physician and does not offer any medical services nor are her services a substitute for seeking medical treatment.

Although TCM has been in use for thousands of years it has yet to be conclusively researched by the Western academic, medical, and psychological communities. Therefore, TCM could be considered experimental and the extent of its effectiveness, as well as its risks and benefits are not fully known. TCM is considered alternative or complementary to the healing arts that are licensed by the State of Illinois and Dr. Stoler’s services as a Certified Life Force, Tao of Medical Qigong Practitioner services are not licensed by the State of Illinois.
